Player Code of Ethics

This Code of Ethics is intended to explain and set forth acceptable behavior for all participants. Any violation of these rules and guidelines by any player shall be brought to the attention of the League and the League Director, who will impose appropriate sanction or sanctions which may include one or more of the following: 1) Reprimand 2) Probation 3) Suspension or 4) Expulsion.

PLAYER CODE OF ETHICS

1. I will learn and abide by the rules of the Capital Soccer Association, CSA.

2. I understand that I am responsible for completing all required paper work and returning it to CSA. I further agree to submit all participation fees as directed to either the coach/manager or CSA.

3. I understand that it’s my responsibility to show up at the scheduled game time with the proper equipment which shall include shin guards and matching jerseys with numbers.

4. I understand that foul and abusive language directed towards the referee, teammates, spectators or league staff is not permitted and shall be in violation of this Player Code of Conduct and I understand that I will be subjected to sanctions for such behavior.

5. I understand that aggressive physical contact (punching, kicking, spitting, etc) or intentional harm towards referees, opponents, teammates, spectators, or league staff is absolutely prohibited and understand that I will be subjected to sanctions for this behavior, including dismissal from CSA without a refund of any fees.

6. I understand and will abide that no alcohol, drugs or dogs are permitted at ANY time at the Morningside, Meadows and Tom Brown Park Soccer Complex.

7. I understand that I am responsible for the spectators that accompany me and that they know and comply with the rules of the Super Six League and the rules set forth by the CSA.

8. I understand that I am responsible for cleaning up after myself and my team, after each soccer game. I understand that I am to leave the facility clean and ready for the next users.

9. I agree to treat my opponent, the referee, the league staff and all participants with respect and I will exhibit fair play and good sportsmanship toward opponents and teammates.

10. I understand that Capital Soccer Association has the right to refuse my participation in the league in it’s sole discretion.

11. I understand each and every term and provision of this Player Code of Ethics, agree to abide by it as a condition of my participation in Capital Soccer Association.
